LIGHTS ON BIKES EVENT

Get a bike, put some lights on it, and ride the streets of Talent with your friends and neighbors to look at holiday light displays!

Talent’s Annual Holiday bike ride is quickly becoming a community favorite. Neighborhoods compete in holiday lighting decorations to win the famed Lights on Bikes Award for “Best Dressed” house. Folks decorate their bikes with battery-powered lights and holiday cheer to ride the streets and enjoy the festive light displays.

NEW! Best lit bike contest categories:

  • Family/ Group Entry- Griswold Award

  • Boldest and Brightest- North Star Award

  • Most Technically Innovative- Tech the Halls Award

    and specific age categories for kids and teens

  • Under 5 years old

  • 6-10 years old

  • 11-16 years old

Want some inspiration? Come to the bike decorating workshop at the Talent Maker City makerspace before the parade! Bring your bike and any other decorations you’d like to add. Lights will be provided by the City of Talent, warm drinks will be drunk from the Grotto, and wassailing will be sung by Rogue World Music.

You are responsible for your own safety during the Lights on Bikes Event. Please follow all bike road safety rules, wear a helmet, and dress in reflective or bright-colored clothing. This event will happen rain or shine so please dress accordingly. The streets of Talent will not be closed for this event.

Space and materials are limited and you must register to participate.
