Get Inky! Intro to Screenprinting (4-Part Series)

Join screen printing instructor Amy Godard of Folkworks for this four-part workshop to learn how to screen print! You will experiment with photo emulsion screenprinting, become acquainted with the TMC print studio, and leave with a screen burned of your design or logo.

Students can be total beginners or intermediates and are encouraged to come prepared with ideas to print, including sketchbooks or digital drawings. You may also email design files ahead of time to amy@talentmakercity.org.  Amy will help you troubleshoot your design and guide you through the process of making a successful print.

The cost of the workshop includes the price of one screen.

Amy Godard is an artist, printmaker from Southern Oregon. While she primarily makes screenprints, woodcuts and linco-cuts, Amy considers herself as a bricolouer of the arts.  She became interested in printmaking while taking classes at the University of Oregon where she also studied Art, Spanish and Folklore. Amy has been teaching art for several years in both public and private settings and currently teaches at the Armadillo Technical Institute in Phoenix Oregon. Her interests include gardening, traveling and playing the guitar. She currently sells her work online and in local shops and with the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland.  She uses her background as a maker to share her expertise in screen printing at Talent Maker City! www.amygodard.com
