Intro to Sewing [sold out]

Our Intro to Sewing Workshop is the ultimate beginner sewing experience. Even if you've never looked at a sewing machine or a serger before, this workshop will be sew awesome! We will start from scratch, introducing you to threading the sewing machine, the basic parts of the machine, and how to work the serger. You’ll end up with the skills to make your very own super swanky pillow case. Pillow included!

Embroidery Basics - All You Needle is Love [sold out]

Our Embroidery Basics workshop is the ultimate beginner experience. Easy and fun, you will leave with you very own embroidered cactus. We'll cover the basic stitches and basic skills such as how to trace a design onto fabric and thread the needle. Personalize your piece by deciding where to place your stitches and picking your own colors. Choose from one of eight pre-drawn designs, or draw your own.

Build(h)er Skills - Intro to Carpentry for Women

Join us for this workshop designed specifically with beginners in mind! Our Build(h)er Skills workshops offer a supportive and fun learning environment for women to develop basic carpentry skills. You’ll learn how to safely use multiple tools for this one (table saw, planer, miter saw, cordless drills) to accurately cut and assemble pieces to make your own storage crate.

Screenprinting 101

This two-hour workshop covers all the basics from process to printing. If you’ve been curious about what’s involved in printing shirts, totes, posters, or anything else, this workshop is the place to start. Students will get hands-on experience with our super sweet four-color press and leave with their own hand-printed canvas tote bag.

DIY Calaveras - Sugar Skull Sculpting

Join us in honoring and celebrating our ancestors by making calaveras or sugar skulls! Laura Quintero Anton will start us out with a look at the real meaning behind Calaveras and why they are used in the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations. After that, you'll create your own calavera that will last a lifetime. Karen Rycheck will instruct wet sculpting a calavera in concrete and decorate it using colorful mosaics and an embedding technique.

Mosaic Address Plaques

In this three day workshop you'll create a vertical or horizontal mosaic address plaque for your home or a unique housewarming gift for friends or family. You’ll learn how to create numbers and lettering in mosaic with an eye for contrast, readability, and visibility for this piece of art you'll be proud to show off. Your house deserves some love and this is just the project to bring it!

Number font templates will be available or you may bring your own printed out to 4 inch height. Our instructor will contact you after registration so that your house numbers match your individual color and style!
